This workshop is for professionals working in a primary school or early childhood setting. Teachers, education assistants, learning supporting coordinators, school chaplains, school psychologists and administration teams are encouraged to attend.

This unique workshop is presented by PhD candidate Gemma Foxall, MEd, Level 3 Teacher and Director at ACT for Autism. Gemma is an award winning public speaker and is currently writing up her doctoral research findings whilst delivering intensive therapy to two beautiful young children with ASD.

Participants at this one day intensive workshop will complete four sessions:

  • Learn about “the neurotransmitter seesaw” and how this affects behaviour

  • Learn about Applied Behaviour Analysis and how to implement the scientific principles with respect and fun

  • Learn how to write a Positive Behaviour Plan based on understanding behavioural functions

  • “Don’t judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree” - How to modify teaching strategies and curricula
