Meg
Support Worker
About Me
Hi, I’m Meg! I’m a support worker who loves helping kids and young people feel safe, confident, and supported to be themselves. I’m all about listening, having a laugh, and finding fun and creative ways to work through tricky stuff together. Whether it’s setting goals, learning new skills, or just having someone to talk to, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
What are some of my strengths and hobbies?
I’m a great listener, a big believer in kindness, and always ready to think outside the box. I love finding creative ways to connect with young people - whether that’s through art, storytelling, or just a good chat. I’m calm under pressure, super organised (most of the time!), and passionate about supporting others to grow and thrive. When I’m not working, you’ll probably find me reading a book, taking photos, knitting something cozy, or hanging out with my (very cheeky) dog. I also love anything nature-y, rainy days, and a good cup of tea.
What do I enjoy learning about?
I’m always curious about how things work - especially when it comes to people and the world around us. I love learning about psychology and how the brain works, as well as exploring different cultures, beliefs, and ways of life. Nature really inspires me too, and I’m always up for a deep dive into animals, plants, or the weird and wonderful things you find in the natural world. If there’s something new to learn, I’m probably already asking questions about it!
Why do I like supporting children with an autism diagnosis and their families?
As someone who’s autistic myself, I know how important it is to feel understood, accepted, and supported for who you are. That’s a big part of why I do this work. I love creating safe, positive spaces where autistic kids can be themselves, explore their interests, and feel truly seen. I also care deeply about supporting families - walking alongside them, sharing tools and encouragement, and celebrating the little (and big!) wins together. I believe every young person deserves to feel confident and capable in their own unique way.
