Support Worker
About Me
Hi, my name is Stacey. I am lucky enough to be a wife and a mum. I love to keep busy and have fun.
What are some of my strengths and hobbies?
I have over five years of experience working closely with children on the autism spectrum and their families. I’m passionate about creating safe, supportive spaces where each child feels understood, encouraged, and empowered to be their authentic self. I think on my feet and adapt to the individual needs of each child and situation.
In my prior job I was constantly preparing and facilitating engaging activities like crafts, sports, cooking, and board games. I also supported children in learning essential life skills such as tying shoelaces, brushing teeth, sharing, toileting, and even expanding their tolerance to different food textures. We also explored relaxation strategies to help with emotional regulation.
I love team sports and just having a go at pretty much anything.
What do I enjoy learning about?
I am currently doing a diploma of Remedial Massage Therapy.
Why do I like supporting children with an autism diagnosis and their families?
What drives me most is seeing the growth, both big and small, that comes from consistent, compassionate support. I genuinely love what I do and feel honored to be part of each family’s journey. Whether it’s helping a child reach a new milestone or supporting parents through challenges, I believe in walking alongside families every step of the way.
