Privacy policy
ACT for Autism Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 17 651 219 608) is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). As a provider of health and disability services we are covered by that Act whatever our turnover — the small business exemption does not apply to us.

Our commitment
As an NDIS provider we are bound by the NDIS Code of Conduct, which requires everyone delivering NDIS supports to respect the privacy of people with disability, act with integrity, honesty and transparency, and deliver supports safely and competently. You can read it in full on the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission website: NDIS Code of Conduct.
In practice that means we collect only what we need, we tell you why, we keep it on access-controlled systems, we do not sell it or share it for anyone else's marketing, and you can ask to see it, correct it or have it deleted at any time.
What we collect, briefly
- Free resources — your name and email address, and whether you ticked the optional box agreeing to marketing emails. Ticking it is optional; you get the downloads either way.
- Referrals and enquiries — the details you give us about the participant, the family, funding and support needs.
- Service delivery — if you become a client, the records we need to deliver and bill for supports safely.
- Website use — standard technical information recorded by our host for security and performance. No advertising cookies, no tracking, no advertising on the site.
Please don't send diagnoses or medical details through the free-resources form or a general website enquiry. If we need those, we'll ask for them through a secure channel.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your marketing details. Email admin@actforautism.com.au and we'll respond within 30 days. There's no charge for asking.
The systems and databases we use
Our full privacy policy names every service provider that handles personal information on our behalf, what each one does, and where data is stored — including which systems hold data outside Australia.

If you want to know exactly which database or software system holds a particular piece of information about you, where it is hosted, or who can see it, email admin@actforautism.com.au and ask. We will tell you.
If you are not happy with how we handled your information
Tell us first: email admin@actforautism.com.au with the word Privacy in the subject line. We'll acknowledge within five business days and respond in writing within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992. If your concern relates to an NDIS support, you can also contact the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission at ndiscommission.gov.au or on 1800 035 544.
