Private advocacy
Privately funded support to navigate the NDIS and education systems, alongside you in meetings and reviews.
The Australian Government and the Western Australian Government fund some free disability advocacy services, and we recommend contacting them before engaging us. The Department of Communities lists the free advocacy services available to Western Australians with disability. Some people may also be eligible for Legal Aid.
Our advocacy service is for individuals and families who choose to pay privately for help navigating the NDIS or the education system. We prepare evidence, attend meetings with you, and help put support needs into the words these systems respond to — plan reassessments, internal reviews, school planning meetings, and applications to the Administrative Review Tribunal.
We will work with your school, NDIS Support Coordinator, NDIS LAC or Complex team stakeholders, and legal representatives as required. If appropriate, for non-therapy clients we will act as expert witnesses or informed stakeholders.
NDIS funding cannot be used for advocacy. Advocacy is not an NDIS support, so these services are invoiced privately and cannot be claimed from an NDIS plan, whether self-managed, plan-managed or agency-managed.
